First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MAERSK.
Senior Financial Analyst
The selection process was smooth. It started with an HR screening interview, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. I felt welcomed and heard. It was also helpful that they made me feel comfortable to assess if changing companies made sense for me.
- Can you tell me about your previous experiences?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Would you be open to a management role?
Finance Analyst
It was a 3 round interview process. First, a recruiter called to chat about my experience and skills as listed on my CV, and to see if I was a good fit for the role. Second, I had a technical interview with some of the people I'd be working with in the department. Third, I went in person for an interview that focused on my knowledge of the company and its business.
- Tell me about a time you clashed with a senior colleague and how you resolved it.
Financial Analyst
First, there was an aptitude test. It had 50 MCQs to be solved in 12 minutes. The test covered reasoning, arithmetics (like finding the lowest value), assertion & conclusion based true or false, and verbal questions in English (like opposites for particular phrases). I took this test twice. I was disqualified in the second attempt. Those who failed this test have to wait 5 years for another chance at maersk. After that, there were one-to-one interviews with operations and HR.
- Would you be open to working continuous night shifts?
