Creative Director
A recruiter contacted me for an initial interview. I had to chase them multiple times to get it set up. The recruiter mentioned wanting to schedule me with the team quickly, but then they disappeared. I never heard back and they didn't reply to my follow-up.

Communications Specialist
I had three interviews with this company. They asked me to come to their NY office for a tour, which I took a half day off work for. I felt all the interviews went very well. The final interview was with the project manager. I asked him what the next steps were and sent a thank you email. Then they ghosted me and I never heard back. I find this extremely unprofessional for an agency like them. I've interviewed at bigger agencies and received emails stating they decided to go in another direction, but nothing from Madwell. It seems like this is how they operate, ghosting candidates? A company needs to fix that. Glad I didn't get the job.

Senior Designer
The interview process started with a prompt response to my cover letter, which was great. Then I had an in-person interview with a design leader, which went well. After that, I had a panel interview with three other people from the studio, followed by a check-in phone call, and then an interview with the studio manager. It was a bit long, but overall it felt good and everyone was enthusiastic. I did feel like the person managing the hiring might have been a bit new to it and overwhelmed, as I ended up asking more questions and doing more of the follow-up than they did. Even though I kept getting positive feedback, I was ghosted after the fourth interview. I was really excited about the agency and the team, so it was a bummer to not hear back, especially after so many interviews. I understand finding the right fit is important, but a quick email to say it's a no-go is just basic professional courtesy. Awesome work, great vibes, cool people, and a great location, but I might have dodged a bullet with the unprofessional follow-up.

Account Manager
After I sent in my resume and cover letter, I got an email a few days later to come in for an interview. The interview was nice and friendly. It seemed like they were growing really fast, so the interviewer hadn't been there long and didn't really know the agency culture as well as someone who had been there for years. Everyone there looks like they're under 30!
