They had 4 rounds in total. It started with an initial screening and ended with a review of a take-home assignment. The second round was focused on understanding my background, experience, and what I'm seeking in a job. After that, I was given a take-home assignment, and the final round involved discussing that assignment.

Behavioral Technical Coding Presentation

The interview started with a 30-minute recruiter call. Then there was a 45-minute video call with the engineering director where they wanted to understand my thought process and how I think, talking about clean code, architecture, and best practices. After that, I got a take-home assignment to solve in 2 hours, but it took me 3 hours to finish and submit with test cases, making sure to follow clean code best practices. The final round was a 1.5-hour technical interview where we discussed my take-home assignment for improvements and refactoring. I also had to code on screen share and answer some programming questions. After this, I got confirmation of passing and then the offer letter. The whole process was clear and moved fast.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The whole thing took over two weeks. It was going great until the recruiter, who knew I had other offers, strung me along. He promised to get back to me three times and never did. I'd already met most of the team, done the on-site, and was just waiting to meet the hiring manager. The recruiter hyped it up, saying everyone loved me and just a couple more people needed to see me, basically saying I had it locked down and to just wait (knowing I was on a deadline with other offers). I went on-site again, and as I was leaving, the recruiter said he'd update me by the end of the next day. No response. I followed up the next week, still nothing. He finally replied, apologizing and promising an update by the end of that day. Again, no response. This is wild because he bragged about how direct and honest he and the process were. So much for being straightforward. A simple yes or no would've been better than leaving me hanging. Especially going from praising me to ghosting me. It just shows bad culture and unprofessionalism. I get that companies need time to find the right person, but there's a basic level of respect owed to interviewees. Just be honest and respect people's time. Nobody should have to go through this, especially after investing so much time learning about the company and meeting everyone. I still haven't heard back. I've since accepted another offer. Be careful.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

A few days after applying, I got an email for a phone screen which went well. Then I had a call with the hiring manager, that also went well. The next week, I was invited for an onsite interview with the team. I arrived a bit early for the onsite, but it was fine. The interview had four rounds, including an HR round at the end. Everyone was nice and asked standard questions for the role. I felt good about the company and the job. After the onsite, there was one more round. HR said they'd update me on next steps the following week. I followed up, but they said the team was still interviewing and would update me in a few days. A week later, I followed up again and got the same response. My last follow-up also went unanswered. I was ghosted in the end, which was disappointing after a pretty smooth process with nice people. Candidates should get closure, especially after 3-4 interview rounds and an onsite.
