“It started with a quick 30-minute phone call, then I presented my case study for an hour, and finally, I did a design challenge. During the case study presentation, I met with the manager, team members, and designers from different teams.”Candidate-reported process
“It was a 3 round process: Recruiter call, Hiring Manager interview, and then a portfolio review. The portfolio review had a room full of stakeholders and various cross functional team members. I spoke to many of the team members. The presentation was 1 hour and then there were 30 minute interviews with individuals. I presented on the homework and other case study. I waited about a week for a decision and then accepted the position. Overall, the logistics were great and communication was responsive.”Candidate-reported process
“Macy's asked me to do an exercise to show my UI and UX skills. I sent over my files, but they told me to ditch Sketch and PSD and use PowerPoint instead. Then, they reviewed the exercise over the phone. The interviewer was rude and eating during the call.
