The interview took one day and was easy. The manager called to schedule the interview. I went in and was hired on the spot. I had to apply again on the Macy's website before receiving the offer. Two days later, I started paid job training.

It was a fast interview, with basic questions. They asked about my background and experience in customer service, and how I solve problems and sell. We also talked about meeting goals and working in a big sales team to hit targets, get promotions, and open new accounts. I also had to explain the selling model.

You start by submitting your resume and a cover letter online. Then, someone screens your resume to see if you fit. After that, there's a quick phone call to check if you're qualified and interested. If you pass that, you'll have a first interview, could be in person or video, where they'll ask about your skills and if you'd fit in. Sometimes there's a test or assessment too. If you do well, there's a second interview with different people, maybe more senior, to dig into your skills and how you handle situations. They might also check your references. Finally, if you make it to the end, you might have a final interview with top bosses. If they like you, they'll make an offer with all the details. You can then negotiate and accept. They'll keep you updated along the way and hopefully give feedback.

I applied and then had a 30 minute phone chat with a recruiter. It was pretty laid back and focused on me and how excited I was about the company and the job. He then set up a second interview with a Hiring Manager. Later, another HM who was hiring for the same role but in a different product area also wanted to interview me. I ended up talking to both HMs back-to-back on the same day over Zoom. My first chat with an HM was really relaxed; he didn't ask anything tough and mostly just talked about the role and the company for the whole 30 minutes. The second HM interview was a bit more structured, and she asked more in-depth, standard interview questions during her 30 minutes. While I didn't feel like either interview went poorly, I wasn't super confident I nailed them. But, just two days later, I got a call offering me the job, which I accepted! The whole thing moved really fast and was a pretty good experience.
