Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at MACOM.
Senior Design Engineer
We talked about my past work and experiences, and they asked me a lot of questions about the projects I've done before. There were also general questions about my technical skills. I also had to show them how I use standard software to prove I'm good at it.
- Do you meet your deadlines?
Design Engineer
We did a phone interview to screen me first. Then, I had an online presentation. The last step was an on-site interview where I met with the engineering team. I talked with different team members and managers while I was there. I also had lunch with the whole team.
- What are your career plans for the next few years?
Packaging Engineer
So, the interview experience was pretty good, not bad at all. It was just a phone call with the hiring manager, and it took about 20-30 minutes. I got a referral from someone who used to work there, which definitely helped.
- Can you tell me about a major challenge you encountered on a project and how you dealt with it?
