The recruiter was really impersonal and didn't respond much. I had no idea what was going on during the whole thing, and then they just ghosted me after the interview with no updates. Even if they weren't going to move forward with me, I'd expect some basic professionalism and politeness. I don't think I'd want to work for a company that handles hiring like this.

A recruiter reached out via email with a very descriptive email that provided all the details needed to decide whether I wanted to proceed with the interview process, including salary. They set up a meeting quickly. The hiring manager had really studied my resume and asked relevant questions about my career. I made it to round 2 and met with the publisher, but I'm still waiting to hear back. I contacted the recruiter, but she hasn't replied to confirm if they've already filled the position. They were supposed to decide in January, so I'm sure the position was filled. However, I was disappointed. It feels worse than getting a rejection email.
