First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Machinio.
Business Development Executive
The first step was a phone call where they talked about my past experience and why I wanted to join Machinio. It felt pretty good. The next step was a role-play interview. There was a role play for a cold-call and a solution demo. I was told there would be a part of the second interview focused on the position and what success looks like there, but they didn't get to it and didn't let me ask questions. They didn't tell me about a decision until I asked them.
- How has your background prepared you for this specific job?
- How would your past experience equip you for this opportunity?
- Tell me about your previous work experience and how it relates to this role.
Account Manager
The interview has three parts, like in most companies nowadays. The first interview is with someone from HR, nothing complicated just the typical questions about your experience and to know a bit about you. It lasts 30 mins. The second is with the head of the department, it's similar to the first one. About 30 mins. The third is a bit longer and you have to prepare for it, it's a role play of an hour. After the first role play, they give you feedback so you can do it again and apply the observations. I have to say that everyone is very friendly and professional and helps you with any doubt, especially Joanna helped me a lot in the selection process.
- Can you give a brief summary of your work experience?
- Participate in a role play simulation
Business Development Manager
I want to share my experience and advise any women considering applying to this company to steer clear. During the interview process, the sales managers questioned my ability to handle sales to farmers and implied that it's a "man's field." This outdated perspective is unacceptable. If the company holds such biases, why even interview women? I strongly recommend avoiding this company altogether.
- As a sales woman, do you believe you can manage sales to Italian male farmers?
Project Manager
First, I had a phone call where I talked about my background and experience and answered some basic questions. It felt good. Second, there was a case study. Third, I interviewed with the director and got feedback on my performance.
- Can you introduce yourself and walk me through your background and work experience?
- What are your key talents and strengths?
- What motivated you to apply to our company?
