The interview process was extremely long. It started with a recruiter phone screening, followed by a behavioral phone interview with another HR person. Then, there was a call with some senior software engineers where programming questions were asked. I was scheduled for another interview with SWEs (all remote) but I accepted an offer elsewhere and cancelled it. I'm not sure if that would have been the final round. This was in early 2020, before the pandemic, when I was finishing my undergraduate studies.

Applied via LinkedIn and got a call from the recruiter to set up some time for the HR round. HR went well and got the next round scheduled with the hiring manager. The hiring manager round also went fantastic, the hiring manager asked basic Java questions. Got the final round scheduled after a couple of weeks. It was a whole day remote interview for about 4 hours with 5 people. It appears that the technical round people were prepared to reject. They kept asking bizarre questions. Later on, I was informed via email that they would not be moving forward. No explanation, no feedback, just "we went another way." Asking so much of a candidate in preparation of an interview, and then not even picking up the phone to deliver the news is lazy and disrespectful. Don’t waste your time with such a company.

Behavioral Technical Coding

It was pretty much two rounds. First round was behavioral, just basic stuff like why you wanna work here, tell me about a project, you know, general behavioral questions. The second round was technical, also pretty simple. They basically asked if I knew basic data structures and their O(N) times, like the difference between DFS and BFS, or Arrays vs LinkedList.
