I got connected to M&T Bank through my campus career development. First, I had a phone interview that went well. About a month later, HR called to schedule an in-person interview at a main branch with two branch managers. I thought I was ready, but I wasn't really focused that day because of family issues, which was a shame since I really wanted the job. They started with some basic questions about me, which I struggled with. Then came behavioral questions like 'Tell me about a time when you...'. After I answered five of those, I had to do a mock sales call, selling them a red marker from the table. Finally, they asked if I had questions, and I asked about the bank and banking. I knew I didn't get the job before leaving because my energy was low, but the interviewers were nice, and it wasn't a terrible experience.

I applied on Feb 7th and got an invite for a phone interview on Feb 13th. The phone interview was on Feb 26th. Then I was invited for an in-person interview on March 29th and they said I'd hear back in about a week. I sent a thank you note on April 1st but didn't get a reply. On April 12th, two weeks after the in-person, I emailed both the recruiter and interviewer to follow up. As of today, April 16th, still no reply. M&T Bank has wasted 2 months and 9 days of my time. This was the most unprofessional interview process I've ever had.
