Project Manager
I applied online and heard back from HR about two weeks later for an initial chat. After that, about two weeks went by before I spoke with the hiring manager and her manager. Then, there was a three-week gap before HR scheduled three more interviews with five people I'd be working with. I got an offer about a week after those.
- Can you share details about your previous project management experience?
- What is your approach to managing projects?
- What are your strategies for effective project communication?
Project Manager
I applied online and got a call from HR in 2 days to schedule a screening interview. It was pretty basic. After that, I had an interview with the department manager. He was really knowledgeable and hands-on. He made me feel comfortable and explained that the job could be demanding but he seemed fair and flexible. We discussed my qualifications and he asked some technical questions. He also mentioned there were internal applicants for the role. The interview lasted about an hour. Sadly, HR sent a thank you letter about 2 weeks later, indicating I didn't get the job.
- What led to your departure from your previous employer?
Project Manager
The interview involved three interviewers. The questions asked didn't seem very relevant to the role, and the interviewers didn't appear skilled enough for a Senior Project Manager position. It felt like a typical interview, with a heavy emphasis on waterfall methodology. The whole thing was polite and lasted about 30 minutes.
- What are your methods for handling stress?
