Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at M Booth.
Account Executive
They asked me about my background and experience. They also asked why I'm looking to leave my current job and about my team's current setup. Then they asked if I had any questions for them.
- What makes you want to leave your current role?
Account Executive
After a couple of months of waiting, I got a surprise call for a phone interview from the recruiter, who was very nice. The next stage was a panel interview with some easy questions. Then came a writing assignment where they expect you to dedicate at least 8 hours to it. I decided to decline after the final interview because I didn't like the vibe.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in Public Relations?
- What are your methods for staying organized?
Account Executive
Had a horrible experience with 6+ rounds of interviews. They actually switched the role I was interviewing for midway through, and it was clear they had no idea what they were doing. I accepted, but soon realized what a horrible culture it was. I had to stay for at least 6 months to avoid paying back my bonus, but I would have left within 2 months if I could.
- How do you approach mentorship?
