I interviewed in person with the manager. They asked me questions about my previous sales and cosmetic experience and about expectations. The second step was a makeup presentation on a model I provided. I had to drive to Atlanta with my model for this. When we got there, they swapped my model for another interviewer's model.

It was a 3 step interview. The first was a job fair with an on the spot interview. It was quick, about 5 minutes where I was asked basic questions about availability, asked to sell a product, and why I want to work for MAC. The second interview was a makeup demo where we had to bring a friend to model. Once we were in the room, we had to switch models and then were given 20 minutes to do a look focused on either skin, lips or eyes. The final interview was with my specific location. This was fairly straight forward, mostly situational questions (what would you do if...). This took place over 3-4 weeks. My first shift was not for three weeks after my final interview.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • Tell me about your motivation for wanting to work at MAC.
  • Which MAC product is your personal favorite?
  • Can you demonstrate selling your favorite product to me?
