It felt like a conversation, very chill. It was through Zoom and there were people in the background. They said I passed and were going to email me my availability but unfortunately never emailed me.

I had a 1-hour interview where they asked me classic questions. Most of the questions were about my past experience, my knowledge of makeup, and how I deal with difficult situations. They also asked me to describe myself and my personality.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I attended a careers day and had a brief chat about myself and my background. I brought my portfolio and discussed some projects I worked on. A few days later, I got a call for a more formal interview at the counter. After that, I was called back for a practical assessment where I needed to bring a 'customer' and pretend I didn't know them, acting as if they were coming in for makeup application. My client chose lips, so I had to do a perfect foundation and a bold lip. They watched for hygiene, how I talked to customers, my personality, product knowledge, and how well I listened to the client's initial request. Make sure you research the company; knowing their background is crucial.
