Product Designer
The interview process took place over multiple weeks and had 3 stages. It started with an initial screening call. Then, there was a meet-the-team session. The final stage involved presenting your design task to a wide team who would then ask you questions.
- If you received an offer, what is the primary skill you would focus on developing first?
Product Designer
The hiring process was pretty efficient, wrapping up in about 3 weeks. It started with a recruiter phone screen, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. The final stage was an onsite interview, which included an app critique, a whiteboard exercise, a PM interview, and a portfolio presentation. I really enjoyed meeting the team; everyone seemed great. On the downside, the app critique part felt a bit disorganized, as the interviewers mostly observed without offering much direction on what they were looking for. It was also frustrating that when I didn't get the job, the recruiter couldn't provide any specific feedback on why, which makes it hard to know how to improve for the future.
- Can you walk me through a project you've worked on recently?
Product Designer Intern
Applied online and about 3 days later, I got the interview invitation from the product design lead. The interviewer was super nice and friendly, always smiling. The challenging part was that the interviewer really dug deep into my answers, building on what I said, rather than asking a variety of standard questions.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- How do you handle situations that are changing?
- What would you say is your greatest strength?
