Customer Success Manager
It took a really long time to get hired. Getting an interview was tough, and I felt like they had already decided who they wanted. The interviewer seemed bored and very casual, like they didn't really care about my answers and were just going through the motions.
- What do you understand about the CSM role?
Customer Success Manager
Had several interview rounds for this role. It was a good experience overall. The recruiter was very helpful and kept me updated throughout, making sure I had all the info and things were going well. The last interview involved a presentation and a writing task.
- Can you share an instance where you were convinced you were correct, but later on, you altered your perspective?
Customer Success Manager
I had an initial recruiter call that was quick and covered my experience and qualifications. Then I moved to the next round with the hiring manager. Scheduling took about 3 weeks because the hiring manager was away. The hiring manager interview involved questions about my experience as an individual contributor and manager. I felt I answered well and my experience matched what they were looking for. However, I later received an email saying I wasn't selected to move forward. I asked the recruiter for feedback but was told they couldn't provide any. I followed up again and was told they moved forward with more qualified candidates. Then, I applied for another Group Manager role in CS and was immediately rejected with no feedback again. I found this very rude and disappointing, especially given the company's mission. I understand recruiters and managers are busy, but a little more specific feedback, like 'we chose candidates with more experience in mental health' or 'we chose internal candidates,' would be helpful and go a long way. Due to this lack of support, I won't apply to future roles there.
