I had a Zoom call and then got an offer pretty quickly after. The recruiter was nice and response time was good. It seemed like a collaborative and remote role, which I liked.

No formal screening or interview for me. After I replied to an automated outreach, I was asked to complete a long assessment test. I never got any follow-up communication or feedback on my application status after finishing it.

Behavioral Technical Other

I went through a few steps for the BDR job at Lyfe Marketing. First, a quick intro call about the role and me. Then, I had two tasks: a Hotbox personality/psychometric test and writing responses to two email scenarios. For the emails, I really thought about different results and explained my reasoning. After that, I had a Zoom interview where they asked standard questions. They said I'd hear back by a certain date, but nope. I followed up, still nothing. Lyfe Marketing seems to ghost candidates, which sucks and matches what some clients say. It's a shame because I think they could be good. They are picky, which is a plus. Their founders seem cool on LinkedIn. Maybe they should have a 'ghosting hotline' for people feeling left. And add more memes to social media! Also, be ready to answer questions from the interviewer too.

Behavioral Technical

I got into the interview process by applying online. The first step was a phone interview, which was great. The recruiter was super nice and told me upfront how many people applied for the job. She also said she'd save my resume if I didn't get this position. Right after, she sent me the next steps, which involved two assignments. I had to create a video to promote a product and write 10 copy samples, 5 for Facebook and 5 for Instagram. Before sending them in, I asked HR about owning the content I created. I wanted to know if the company would own my work, and if so, I'd expect to be paid for my time and ideas. They didn't really answer my question directly and instead sent me an automatic rejection for the role. This makes me think they might be one of those companies that try to get free ideas from candidates instead of paying them fairly.
