We had a Zoom interview with a partner. It started with normal questions about my resume and why I'm interested in this job. Then, we talked about my previous experience and how I've handled cases, plus my knowledge of the law in this area.

It was about a half hour for a typical law clerk interview. They asked me to talk about myself, why I chose Lydecker, and how I ended up at my law school. It felt pretty conversational and approachable overall.

After submitting my resume online, I got a call about a week later. I then interviewed with a partner who didn't ask too many questions. It started with him asking me to 'tell me about your experience' and then it was pretty conversational. He was kind of vague about the role and what he was looking for, so I had to pull teeth to get info on things like hours, work assignment, and general employee expectations. Other places have been way more upfront about the job's lifestyle, culture, and duties, so I left this interview with a bad vibe about the company and the position.

The interview was relaxed and gave a lot of good information. The partners were on time and seemed like good, understanding people. They talked about work-life balance and a hybrid schedule, which is nice these days.
