First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lutron Electronics.
Field Service Technician
The interviewers were friendly and checked my knowledge. They asked about my personal life and what I'm interested in. The interview setting wasn't very professional, and the interviewers chatted amongst themselves about internal work stuff. They're really looking for a particular kind of person. They came across as a bit arrogant, maybe like they think they're better than others. In the end, I wasn't what they were looking for, but overall, it wasn't a bad experience.
- Tell me about your hobbies.
- What questions do you have for us?
Systems Technician
First, there was an initial interview to go over the role and assess your skills and qualifications. Then, a secondary interview followed with technical questions and a deeper dive into your skills. Communications were via email, and interviews were scheduled through Microsoft Teams. Everyone was punctual and professional.
- Could you tell me about your strengths?
- In five years, where do you envision yourself within this company?
- If faced with factors X, Y, and Z, what would be your prioritization strategy?
Field Service Technician
The interview process started with an in-person meeting, followed by a second interview conducted over the phone. It felt like a friendly chat, and I didn't get any sense that it was going poorly. A significant part of the conversation was dedicated to discussing the work schedule and the daily tasks involved.
- How would you troubleshoot a remote control?
- How would you troubleshoot an extension cord?
- Can you walk me through your typical work schedule and daily tasks?
