First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lutron Electronics.
Intern
So I had 3 interviews total. First was with HR, just basic behavioral stuff. Then I had a technical interview where they asked some situational questions related to the role. Finally, I had another HR interview, which was more them trying to sell me on the company before they offered me the position.
- What factors would you take into account when releasing a new product version?
IT Intern
Applied then a week later got an invite to interview. The interviewer was on time and got right into it. They were sweet though. Then had another behavioral interview 2 weeks later. Waited 2 more months after that to get an email that the position was closed. It was frustrating but I guess business is business and roles get closed, can't really complain. I thought my interviews went flawless and I asked for feedback from my interviewers at the end and they gave me positive feedback.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered a challenge with a teammate?
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- Could you elaborate on your experience working at a startup?
Intern
I had a phone interview that included both HR-type questions and some technical ones. It was pretty basic, mostly focused on understanding my thought process rather than just testing my knowledge. The interviewer was a senior person on the team who has worked in different roles within the company. They guided me through the questions, really digging into how I think and my understanding of manufacturing techniques.
