Sales Advisor
Had a first phone call after applying, then got invited to an afternoon job dating event. This event included workshops where we learned to use some products by making bath bombs and massage bars. After that, there was a short interview with different pre-selected shop managers. Got the results pretty quickly.

Sales Advisor
It's a group interview where you're split into groups and cycle through different tasks manned by different staff members. Some may include doing hand/arm massages, roleplaying a demo of products and explaining it to customers, or showing proof of active listening. If successful, onwards to a trial shift where you'll have an hour to work on the shop floor and showcase your ability approaching customers - basically a tester of how you'd likely perform if hired (so give it your best, if you're too quiet or nervous and not proactive you won't get the job).

I applied by emailing my CV and cover letter to the local centre website. It took about 2 weeks to get a reply, which I'd almost forgotten about by then. The sales consultant called me out of the blue while I was shopping, which was a bit awkward. We spoke for about 10 minutes to set up an interview and a trial shift. The following week, I came in for the trial shift (the dress code is all black and/or white, mostly black). I'd read online that people sniff and play with products while waiting, so I did that. A nice lady then took me to the back room, welcomed me, and gave me an apron. Another employee showed me around, explained the product locations and demos, and demonstrated on me. I was excited at first, but the actual shift was awkward because the employees seemed bored, just standing around and talking amongst themselves when there were no customers. I kept smelling products. At the end of the shift, I was called to the back room again for a quick interview.
