It was a really well-tailored interview process for the role. The HR person was incredibly supportive, making it seem like they really wanted me for the job. Sadly, I didn't pass the whiteboard challenge, and someone else got the offer. I'd still suggest it though.

So there were 4 stages in total. First, I had a couple of recruiter calls. Then, there was a 45 min chat with my direct manager where I had to present my portfolio. After that, I interviewed with the Head of Department for about 45 mins, focusing more on company fit. The final round was a peer review with leaders and directors, which involved a whiteboard challenge.

I applied through LinkedIn and heard back from the recruitment manager (RM) pretty quickly to set up a call with the head of product. We chatted about my experience and why I was looking to move on. A few days later, the RM sent over a design challenge with two problems to solve, giving me 8 hours to complete it. After I submitted it, the recruitment coordinator contacted me to schedule in-person interviews with four team members: a product owner, user researcher, head of design, and an iOS developer. Each meeting was about 30 minutes long. The team was really welcoming, and the conversations covered my career, current role, problem-solving approach, cryptocurrencies, hobbies, and other general topics, making it a comfortable experience. I also noticed the company's ethos, 'We think big, but we're humble,' which seemed genuine given their down-to-earth approach despite their significant funding and ambitious vision. Following the interviews, the RM reached out via WhatsApp to gauge my interest and see if I was available for another call with the head of product. During this call, I was asked more in-depth questions. By the end of the week, I felt a bit drained and unsure about some of my answers. However, the following Monday afternoon, the RM messaged again to check in and ask for 2-3 references. After some delays and a bit of a chase to get hold of references, I received an email offering me the job! The whole process was thorough and well-structured, with good communication throughout.
