Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Luno.
Data Scientist
The interview process spanned about a month and involved an initial screening, a coding assessment, a culture and personality fit screening with the hiring manager, and a final technical interview with two data science managers. I found the process very seamless and thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the talent acquisition specialist who kept me informed of all the updates at every stage of the interview process.

Data Scientist
Had an interview with a recruiter who was clueless, rude, and racist. I got fed up by the end of the call and lost interest. It was a terrible process for interviewing candidates. I can imagine how frustrating it would be to work there, especially if one has to interact with such clueless people.

Data Scientist
It was a pleasant interview process overall. The technical test was challenging but manageable. After that, there were three more interviews that focused primarily on my background, interests, and personal qualities. One thing that could be improved is giving candidates more notice for interviews or checking their availability beforehand, as some interviews were scheduled on very short notice without confirming my schedule.
