They asked for a 2-minute self-recorded video to answer generic questions about why I’m interested in Luminance and this role. This was sent late Friday afternoon with a deadline to submit by Sunday at noon, with no conversation, no context, no chance to speak to a real person first. They also asked for my university grades upfront, despite my deep experience, which shows a checkbox, junior-level approach that does not respect proven professionals. Researching employee reviews shows a clear pattern: long hours, chaotic management, high turnover, poor training, and pockets of tolerated toxic behavior. These are not signs of “fast growth.” They are red flags for limited career development because you will be grinding without strong mentors or stable leadership to learn from. It is just a job, not a career. If you are early career, you might gain raw execution experience for a short time, but you will also risk wasting hours that could have been spent learning how to be professional and growing under strong leaders. You may burn out fast with little real development and leave thinking this is how all businesses work. If you are seasoned and value mature leadership, clarity, and real career momentum, you will likely end up frustrated and stuck. I did not bother recording the video and stepped away.

The interview process was very straightforward and they communicated the role clearly. There were three rounds in total: the first was online, and the subsequent two were in the office. The team seemed dynamic and passionate, and I felt comfortable throughout the process.

I talked to three different people: a product specialist, the CEO, and the manager for the product specialist team. The person currently in the role was great, very easy to talk to and super nice. They offered me the product specialist job and said I'd get an offer letter soon. After two weeks with no letter, I followed up and found out they weren't opening the position in my location anymore, even though they'd told me they were planning to. So, basically, I was offered the job, told I'd get an offer, then ghosted for two weeks, followed up, and then learned the position was canceled. It felt like a big red flag, so if you're interviewing with Luminance, definitely don't quit your current job until you have a formal offer letter. I'm glad I read reviews and didn't quit right away because this place seems really disorganized and needs to be more professional in how they hire. I really wanted it to work out and to prove the negative reviews wrong, but it confirmed my feeling that the company needs to improve its professionalism. Seriously, BE CAREFUL when interviewing or accepting an offer here.
