It was pretty simple to apply. I did the usual form on their site, but then they hit me with a voice recording request, which was kinda weird and I put it off. Before I even got to that, they emailed me for a video interview. They also sent a technical test, but the link was broken. I emailed the recruiter to try and get a working link since I wanted to do it before the zoom call, but still no response. The person on the zoom call was super fast and felt like a robot, kinda cold. They stuck to their script and spoke really quickly, like they do this all the time, but it didn't feel very personal. They asked some standard questions about my previous role, what I enjoyed about a project, and my career aspirations.

This was the worst hiring process I’ve ever been through. First, I had to submit a 45-second audio recording about how I fit their values. Then, there was a three-part take-home assessment with a 3-hour time limit. The first part was okay, but the rest was just fixing a React app by finding missing props, which felt like a waste of time and didn't test actual skills. I only sent the first part. After that, I got an invitation for an initial interview. The interview started abruptly with the recruiter asking about my technical skills (React, TypeScript, Node.js), my education, and salary expectations. They took notes and didn't ask if I had questions. When I did ask, I got short answers. They asked about salary again, said they'd follow up, and then sent a rejection the next day with no reason. Avoid Lumenalta.

The interview process felt like a waste of time, very poorly designed. It started with automated questions and a voice note submission, no human interaction. Then I got a link for a technical interview via an automated email, with reminders. The technical interview was a ~3.5 hour, three-question DevSkill assessment. It involved downloading a git repo and making unit tests pass. After submitting, I got another automated email saying they weren't moving forward. It seems like the position is frequently reposted on LinkedIn, which is suspicious given the lack of human involvement and potential data farming.
