First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lumanity.
Associate Consultant
It started with a basic HR screening, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. The HM was very aloof and preoccupied with other tasks. The interaction felt more like an interrogation than a conversation, as I was asked to explain my resume gap. By the end, it was evident she wasn't interested in moving forward. At a minimum, professionalism is expected, like making eye contact and engaging in a conversation, rather than dismissing candidates for having a resume gap while in transition between jobs.
- Can you explain the gap on your resume?
Statistician
I had a phone interview with HR that lasted about 15 minutes. Then, I had an informal chat with the Head of Department for about 30 minutes. After that, there was a 2-hour session involving a presentation and some technical questions. The final step was another interview with the Head of Department. The interviews themselves were pretty average, and the technical questions weren't too hard. The main issue was the waiting time; it took them over 20 days to get back to me with a final decision, and HR kept pushing back deadlines during that period.

Senior Consultant
It was a pretty chill interview process, they were super open to all my questions, really positive vibe overall. Started with a chat with HR, then a call with the SVP. Sometimes there's a test involved. After that, I had a 1-hour call with two team members where we did a fit interview and Q&A. Then they sent over a case study that I had a week to work on. The final round was presenting that case study, which took an hour total (30 mins for presentation and Q&A, and another 30 mins for a fit interview with general Q&A).
- Could you prepare a presentation for a case study?
- Can you present the case study and answer questions?
- What are your thoughts on this case study?
Business Development
I was contacted by a recruiter and interviewed. They mentioned they were looking for someone with more experience and that the salary was still TBD. The whole process took 3 months. It started with a screening call, followed by 4 rounds of interviews with the hiring manager, 3 other managers, 3 team members, and the CEO. I got a strong hint that I was a top candidate. A few hours after they asked for my references, the recruiter told me I was no longer being considered. Later, I found out they had started the search over for the third time and ended up hiring an entry-level person for the job.
- What's your approach to finding potential clients?
