First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lufthansa Systems.
Fullstack Developer
There were 4 rounds in total. First up was an HR interview with some basic intro questions. After that, I had a technical interview with a really nice architect, which was my first technical interview in a while. He asked some deep questions about the language. Turns out I wasn't quite senior enough for this role, but they mentioned they had another Java position that got filled. The plan was a second technical interview with the client, followed by a third technical/execution interview with the client again.
- Can you tell me about the new features introduced in Java 8?
- What distinguishes functional interfaces from others?
- Could you explain what concurrency is?
Mobile Developer
I applied online and had some tests for logic and english. After a few months, I got a call for a screening interview, and then another non-technical chat about a week later. After that, I was given a coding project to do, which we then discussed in a technical interview the following week. I was told the interviews went well and I'd get an offer. Then I had a call to meet the whole team. After that, I didn't hear back for about two weeks, and then got an email saying they picked someone else.
- Can you explain MVVM architecture, SOLID principles, and MVC patterns?
Service Request Manager
The interview process started really well with friendly HR and hiring managers. However, it took a turn at the end. After the final round, I reached out to the HR person through email, text, and phone calls for several days. They ignored all my attempts to contact them. After four weeks, I only received an automated email. I had heard great things about the company, so this was disappointing. Even a simple text saying the process was ongoing and they'd get back soon would have been appreciated, but being completely ignored after going through the entire interview process was unexpected.
- Were there any standard questions asked that were common interview questions found online?
Data Platform Engineer
It was pretty straightforward, starting with an HR chat and then a technical part. The HR round covered general company info and the compensation details. Then, I met with the head of the department, the hiring manager, and a senior engineer for the technical assessment, which included some personality questions too.
- Can you discuss networking concepts?
- Tell me about Kubernetes.
- What do you know about Docker?
