Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lufthansa Group.
Information Management
Just three days after I applied online, I was invited for an interview at the Lufthansa Aviation Center in Frankfurt am Main. In the interview, I was facing two people. The conversation was very open and friendly and mainly revolved around my qualifications and the tasks to be taken on during the internship.
- How do you see your studies preparing you for the tasks you will be taking on?
Manager
Applied in November and things moved really slowly. Had the first video call in December, then an in-person interview at the end of January. They kept missing their own feedback deadlines, which was frustrating. Despite positive vibes throughout the process and even after the final interview, they ultimately didn't extend an offer. I declined the peer talks they offered after the final interview because I felt it was pointless to proceed if they hadn't made a decision yet. The interviewers were nice, but the whole experience made me question the company culture – they seemed a bit too self-satisfied. Honestly, it was a pretty draining and irritating process overall.
- What would your friends say about your application to Lufthansa?
- What do you do when you're not working?
- How do you think you'd be a good fit for this position?
Loyalty Manager
In the first round, there was a virtual conversation with the head of the Business Unit where it was about a general getting to know the candidate and the requirements for the position, as well as the work in the team.
- What would you immediately improve about the Lufthansa Group's loyalty program?
