Lucas Systems (Pennsylvania) Interview Questions
& Process

I met the hiring rep at a career fair and then got a call about a week later. They had me come in and I met with a bunch of people, all separately. First, I took a written test on basic CS stuff, like 30 mins. Then, two people met with me (individually) and we went over my answers, and they asked me questions about them. It wasn't super hard, just detailed. In the second interview, I met a manager and then the CEO. This time the questions were all about why I wanted to join the company, my 5-year goals, etc. The hardest part was the manager, who said the job is tough and requires lots of extra hours to keep up. Meeting the CEO was cool though, he seemed nice.

The interview process was quite lengthy and drawn out. It started with remote interviews with the Talent Acquisition Manager and the Sales Director. Then, I was asked to meet with four members of the UK team. After that, I had an interview with the CEO. The final stage was an in-person interview with the Sales Director. I was informed that they were interested in hiring me but never received a formal offer, even after inquiring about it. This made me feel like they were indecisive or perhaps not being entirely truthful.

So the interview process was pretty standard. First, I had a 1 on 1 interview. Then I got a callback for an interview with a panel. But then they called me back again to interview with the same people. It took them a month to give me an offer. The whole thing took 3 months and was totally unprofessional. I turned it down though because I had already accepted another job by the time they made the offer. I would never have taken it anyway because of how unprofessional they were.

HR called first to talk about the company culture and stuff. Then, there was a phone interview. After that, I had on-site interviews. They asked me about problems I'd solved at my last job. The on-site was 3 hours, broken into four 45-minute sessions.
