Behavioral Technical

The interview was in a relaxed setting, and I spoke with a senior chemist. They asked mostly technical questions. The interview lasted about 40 minutes. They also asked a few questions about my strengths and weaknesses, and I got to chat a bit about what it's like working there.

Behavioral Technical

Submitted an online application and was contacted quickly to schedule an in-person interview. Met individually with each department manager who spoke positively about the company culture and compensation. The questions were straightforward and based on my resume. A few days later, I received a job offer, but it was for $18/hr and a 12-hour graveyard shift without any differential pay, which was not mentioned previously. Given the high cost of living in California and my degree, the offer was unexpectedly low. I proposed $21/hr, but they came back with $18.75. My expectation was $25/hr, so I had to decline the offer.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview experience was typical for a U.S. company. It started with a phone call, then an all-day on-site session that ran from 9 AM to 5 PM. The on-site included a presentation and several one-on-one meetings. The hiring manager and HR were the last people I met with.
