Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lowenstein Sandler.
Legal Secretary
The interview process was very thorough and concise. The HR manager and Office Administrator were very pleasant individuals where I felt there was a great level of comfort. Overall a pleasant interview process.
- Why did you decide to apply to Lowenstein?
- Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
- Could you tell us a bit about yourself and your work ethic?
Legal Secretary
I applied on the company website. Then I got a phone call from recruiting to set up an initial interview. This interview was with the office administrator and lasted about 30 minutes. After that, I got another call back for a follow-up and a word processing test. Finally, I got a call for the job offer.
- Can you tell me about your biggest weakness?
Counsel
Went through a third-party recruiter. Had one interview where I met two practice group leaders (partners). One asked tougher questions for about 30 mins, the other was very social and funny -- once he assessed my experience, we had a nice chat about friends and former colleagues we knew in common. Got an offer within two weeks.
- Can you describe your experience level in directly interacting with clients and working independently?
