Store Manager
I had one phone call with the regional manager that lasted about 30 minutes. We talked about my experience, my strengths, my weaknesses, what my interests and habits are, what I bring to the company, whether I prefer working with a team, and how I motivate my team.
- Can you tell me about your past jobs and experience?
- What are your strongest qualities?
- What is your biggest weakness?
Store Manager
I applied on indeed and the next day a recruiter called to set up a phone interview with her and I chose the following Monday. Monday she called and it lasted about half an hour, she was very nice and pleasant to talk to! I didn’t have experience as a store manager before, only as an assistant manager and key holder positions at other companies but she told me they were looking for someone with entry level so they could “mold and train them “ to be a great manager. I was pleased with her answer and she said she wanted to set me up with a second interview right away with the State manager. The next day i had FaceTime interview with state manager and she was so much fun! We got along great and we laughed at silly things. I could tell she liked me and she told me she’d make a decision between me and someone else that Thursday. Thursday came around and she texted me saying the regional wanted a short phone interview with me because I’ll obviously be mostly working under him. He called and was super nice and we also laughed at funny things and had a great conversation. He told me it was great talking to me and he would talk to the other managers one last time and call me the next day for a decision. The next day which was Friday, the state manager called me and told me all three of them loved me and thought i would be the perfect store manager for this new location.
- Tell me about a time you had to stand firm with an employee. What occurred and what was the final outcome?
Assistant Store Manager
The interview process was quite lengthy and conducted mostly over the phone because the main office is in Australia. Before you can even start, they send you a huge document with about 12 hours of unpaid training to complete. The interviews themselves were really friendly and upbeat, but be careful because it seems like a way to trick you into accepting the role.
- Can you tell me why you're interested in working here?
