First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Lovesac.
Assistant Store Manager
The interview process was really long for the position I applied for, going for over 4 hours total spread across 4 separate interviews. In the end, I got delayed notification and then was told the company eliminated the position. It was totally bizarre and a big waste of my time.
- What would you do with your free time when business is slow?
Store Manager
It was a really thorough and comprehensive interview process. They were extremely thoughtful and gave me the chance to talk to different levels of management. This made sure the expectations and the role itself fit with what they needed and what I was looking for.
- Can you explain how your previous experience and opportunities align with this specific role?
Assistant Store Manager
I applied for the Assistant Store Manager position and was contacted for a phone interview. The first phone interview was missed, then rescheduled, and the interviewer called an hour late. After that, an in-person interview was scheduled. I arrived early, but the interviewer never showed up. They called about fifteen minutes later, while I was driving home, to apologize and reschedule. During the second in-person interview attempt, the interviewer was distracted by their phone and took a personal call. They also kept suggesting jobs at other companies, which was strange. I was told I was a top candidate and would be contacted soon. Over the next few months, I tried reaching out multiple times via phone, email, and text with no response, despite being told the position wasn't filled and they were out of the store. The whole experience was very disorganized and unprofessional.
