Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores.
Sales Associate
The interview process was really great. The people seemed nice, interview questions were easy to answer but helped paint a good picture of how I work and what my strengths and weaknesses are. It just wasn't the job for me at the time. Highly recommend.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Sales Associate
Interview went well and I got the job offer with a start date, which I accepted. The next day, they called back saying they might not have the position anymore, told me not to quit my job, and that they'd call later that day with an update. They never called. So I called them today and they said they decided to go another way. I asked if it was due to lack of hours, and he said yes, that was the main reason. A few minutes after that, I got an alert from the employment website that the same location has the job open that I was offered and then rescinded.
- How would you handle a difficult customer?
- Have you ever worked with a difficult coworker?
- What are the reasons you left your previous jobs?
Sales Associate
It was an in person interview with two managers. The hiring process is pretty fast, they get you working in less than a week and trained in about five days before they give you your preferred shift.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience and what you did in those roles?
- What kind of position are you hoping to get?
- What shifts can you work?
