I interviewed with Louis Vuitton for what was presented as a Store Manager role. But, toward the end, the position was switched to Client Development Manager, without warning. They said the Store Manager role was filled internally and they were trying to get people looking for SM roles to fill the CDM role. After the interview, I was left hanging for almost two weeks with no news, even after I followed up professionally. Communication was bad the whole time. To make it worse, I got the rejection email at 9 PM on a Sunday, which was a thoughtless way to end a long and confusing process. With over 10 years in luxury retail, I expected better treatment and honesty from a brand like Louis Vuitton. It gave me a bad feeling about the company culture and how they treat potential hires.
