First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LotusFlare.
Software Engineer
The interview process at LotusFlare had four stages. First, a recruiter screen. Then, a front-end technical interview. After that, a system design round focusing on a Chat System, and also a LeetCode medium problem. The final round was another system design interview, this time on a Notification System. The whole thing was super organized and very technical. The interviewers were cool, professional, and respectful. They focused on practical problem-solving, not random trivia. The system design interviews really dug into scalability, APIs, and event-driven architectures. The recruiter was on top of communication, keeping me in the loop. It's a challenging process, for sure, but felt fair. It's great for engineers who like tackling system design problems and building things that scale. My advice? Be ready for that last interview.

- Could you define what a closure is in JavaScript?
- What exactly is a template literal in JavaScript?
Software Engineer
The HR interview was standard. The first technical interview round had two parts: one with a Frontend (FE) person and another with a Backend (BE) person. The BE interview was alright, involving a coding problem and discussion about my past projects and how I'd tackle issues. The FE interview, I felt, had too many detailed questions. The next day, HR told me I'd have another BE interview since my experience leans that way. That one also seemed okay. But then I waited two weeks for HR to get back to me, and I had to reach out myself. They said I didn't make it. I knew the topics and questions, but I guess I didn't go into enough detail.
- Can you explain Javascript hoisting?
Software Engineer
HR reached out on LinkedIn for an initial chat, which was a standard HR interview. Next, I had a technical interview focusing on my experience and a live coding challenge. Although I didn't nail the coding 100%, the feedback was positive. Then, a second technical interview followed, similar to the first, but this time the live coding was flawless. After that, they went silent for about a month. Eventually, they informed me I wasn't moving forward, citing the second interviewer's negative feedback without clear reasons, despite my improved coding performance. It felt unprofessional and disrespectful of my time.
