Got the interview through a referral. It was pretty chill and easygoing, they said my resume and background were a good match. Talked straight with the department manager. It took a decent amount of time.

I applied to be a seasonal sales associate and HR interviewed me. It wasn't too tough. She asked about my past sales associate experience and if I'd handled cash before. I was asked about my preferred department and the reasons for it. She also discussed the job duties, expectations, and pay.

after you apply online, I'd suggest giving the store a call and letting the Cosmetics Department Manager know you applied and are interested in the job. Pretty soon after that, you'll get an invite to meet with the Cosmetics Department Manager. They'll ask customer service and goal-oriented questions. If the manager approves, you'll have a second interview with the Relationship Manager, but this is just for Chanel; other counters only have the Counter Manager. For Chanel, they've added a makeup application review to the process now, but this isn't the case for all the other Counter Cosmetics lines.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Tell me about how you helped your previous employer grow.
  • How did you help the last company you worked for grow?
  • How do you contribute to company growth?
