& Process

The interview process wasn't too difficult, although it did take longer than necessary. The conversations were straightforward and not overly technical. There were 5 rounds involving several team members. The people I spoke with were good.

I submitted an online application and about a week later, I got an interview request. The first step was a two-on-one meeting with two analysts. We were in a conference room, and I was on the big screen. They chatted for a few minutes. I had done some research and prep for the interview to practice general skills, although I wasn't that interested in the role because I had an EB investment banking offer the day before. When I joined the call, they immediately came across as condescending. I answered 'tell me about yourself' and they were silent for a couple minutes. Then they asked me to sell myself. After those two questions, they didn't ask anything else. They opened it up for questions about six or seven minutes into the call. I asked about five or six different questions, and each time they would laugh together for a bit before giving a short, unenthusiastic answer. I eventually got bored and thanked them for their time, leaving early. I don't have a big ego and I wasn't expecting to be a top candidate, but I've been successful in tougher interviews for more interesting jobs, so being dismissed so quickly left a bad impression. It doesn't seem like a good work environment, and I know I'll be happier in the roles I got offers for.

It was a few rounds with more personality and experience oriented questions. The team that’s in charge of interviewing is very friendly and open to all questions. As you go through the rounds you can speak with more senior members of the company.
