First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LoopUp.

I sent in my CV and a personal statement through a website. About a week later, I got an email asking me to come to an assessment day. There were about 20-30 people there. The day had two rounds: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Only 5 of us made it to the afternoon round for a 1-to-1 interview. I didn't get through the morning round. The morning session started with a 30-minute LoopUp presentation. Then we networked with other candidates for 10 minutes. After that, each person gave a 5-minute presentation they had prepared (this took 45-50 minutes). Then there was a 15-minute LoopUp quiz. We had a 10-minute break, followed by a task where each candidate had 10 minutes to prepare a 2-minute sales pitch on any product. The interviewer gave general feedback and then had us do the pitch again. We then had a 30-minute lunch. After lunch, the interviewer told us who was advancing to the afternoon round, and everyone else left.
- Can you tell me the CEO's favorite color?
- What are the locations of LoopUp's offices?
- What's the market size in dollars for audio communication in the US?

Roughly 15 candidates were present. It kicked off with an awkward meet and greet, then there was a presentation about the company. Candidates were then randomly put into two groups. After that, each candidate in the group gave a five-minute presentation they had prepared. It seemed like the successful candidates were chosen more for how well they delivered rather than the actual content. Candidates were then given a quick test based on the earlier company presentation. Finally, they were asked to sell any product in two minutes. Candidates got general feedback and were told to improve their pitch, and again, it looked like they cared more about delivery than content.
- What is Alan's favourite colour?

LoopUp has you come in for a full assessment day. The first part is a big group activity, and the second part is one-on-one meetings. They start with about 20 people, but only half move on to the next stage. Plan to be there for about 8 hours, and lunch is on them. You'll find out if you got the job within a few days – they're super fast with decisions. Overall, the different stages are pretty simple; they're really just checking out how you present yourself and how you handle pressure in sales scenarios. The questions aren't tricky either, no curveballs, they're not trying to mess with you.
- Pick a topic you like and give a 5-minute presentation to the group.
