You apply online, and then there's an in-person interview, and sometimes a second one is needed. A call center or HR will screen you first before they set up the formal interview at the dealership. It's usually in a boardroom with one or more managers, and they ask standard, generic questions.

The company's communication was disappointing, and I haven't heard back about the interview outcome even after following up for feedback. The process started with an initial call from Lookers where they asked basic questions about my background and DBS check willingness. The person seemed nice and described the Sales Executive role at Mercedes Benz in Kent, including salary and hours. After I confirmed my interest, the interview was scheduled for the next day. I then attended an interview with both store managers. I answered some questions, discussed my past roles, highlighting how I consistently exceeded targets and was a perfect fit, especially since the managers mentioned they needed someone to boost sales as the current staff wasn't very proactive. I also presented past awards for exceeding sales targets. The interview lasted about an hour.

I applied through the Lookers portal and the whole process was really fast and simple. A recruiter from Lookers reached out and invited me to an assessment day, sending over a bunch of helpful info beforehand. The assessment day itself was awesome – I learned a ton about Lookers and it made me want the job even more! It was a really friendly and fun atmosphere. We met a lot of people who have been with the company for a long time, which gave me the impression that Lookers, despite being big, is really well-organized and feels like a family. The activities were great and really tested my thinking. I clicked with my group and left super eager for the job. A few days later, I got a call saying I did really well in the group activities and was invited for a one-on-one interview at the dealership I preferred. I was thrilled to meet my potential manager. The interview was really relaxed in a lovely dealership setting, and everyone was so welcoming. The very next morning, I got a fantastic phone call from recruitment offering me the job, followed by a nice call from my new manager. I've since accepted and received emails about my start date, portal info, and my training plan. I'm really excited to start next month!
