First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LONGI.
Key Account Manager
A headhunter from Italy reached out to me on LinkedIn. They interviewed me a couple of times. I felt the role was too junior for me, so I decided not to move forward and didn't finish the process.
- Tell me about your experience.
- Where do you see yourself in a few years?
Distributed Systems Engineer
The interview process had three rounds, and it was a really good experience overall. They communicated well, the interviewers were nice, and the chats were detailed but friendly. First, there was an HR screening where we talked about my background, projects, and if I'd be a good fit. They explained the job and timeline, which was cool. Scheduling was flexible, everyone was on time, and HR followed up quickly. It seemed like a well-organized and respectful process. This company seems to value deep technical knowledge, good communication, and creating a welcoming environment. Even though the interviews were long (two 1-hour rounds), the structure was helpful, and it felt professional and fair.
- Tell me about your background and key projects.
- Can you discuss your past engineering experience regarding process, modeling, and optimization?
- What are your methods for troubleshooting project issues?
Graduate Program
I applied for LONGI's graduate program in 2023. First, I did an assessment. Then, I had my first interview with HR, which was pretty easy. After that, I had a second, more technical interview that was harder. They told me I passed and wanted me to join, but they didn't send an official offer and told me to wait. I waited a few weeks and kept asking, and they finally told me there was a hiring freeze and I couldn't join.
- Can you discuss various PV technologies?
Senior Product Solutions Manager
It was a 3-stage interview process. First, there was a language test because the role is for the Japanese market. Second, I spoke with the hiring manager to understand each other better. Third, I was supposed to interview with a director, but I declined because the job description wasn't very clear. They mentioned it's a new team being set up, so the direction and structure are still being figured out. Essentially, I'd be responsible for all aspects of customer technical support with no clear career path defined.
- What makes you interested in this particular position?
- What is your motivation for seeking this role, especially given its focus on the Japanese market?
- Can you elaborate on your background and expectations for this position?
