Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loma Linda University.
Registered Nurse
You first pick an interview time. Then there are typical behavioral questions about your experience. They also ask why you want to work at Loma Linda. The interview is in a big room with many other people.
- What makes you want to join Loma Linda?
- How do your values match ours?
Registered Nurse
It was easy. just be yourself and you're set. make sure you prepare in advanced, try to write out possible interview questions in order to fully prepare yourself! I would also make sure to do a mock interview with a sibling or parents or friend in order to really grasp the full interview effect.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Registered Nurse
It was a 3 part interview. I spoke with the Nurse Manager, a Staff RN, and the Nursing Director. They were all from the floor/dept I applied for and were interviewing for the position. It was about 2 hours long. They were very welcoming and friendly. Most questions focused on situational factors to understand my personality and work ethic. I was offered the position the same day without much negotiation because it was a new grad RN position.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to make a tough decision? What was your process for deciding, and what happened as a result?
