Supervisor
The interview process was pretty straightforward. After they looked over my CV, we had a quick 20-minute chat at a cafe. They asked about my past work and some hypothetical situations. I got the job right then and there and started pretty quickly.
- What's your background related to this job?
- Tell me about a time you dealt with a tough situation at work.
- Describe a project where you guided a team through difficulties.
Sales Assistant
It was simple, laid-back, friendly, and quick. It was direct with the usual questions: Tell me about yourself, Why this brand, What do you know about us, Do you have any questions. Nothing tough.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
- Do you understand the responsibilities of this role?
- What information do you have about our company?
Customer Assistant
The process was very fast-paced. The interview included standard customer service questions about working in a team, helping customers, and handling difficult situations. Immediately following the interview, there was an hour-long trial shift. This took place in one of their carts, which offered no personal space and exposed everything to the elements. The working conditions involved long hours standing in a very windy environment.
- How would you describe excellent customer service?
Team Member
I found this job on Indeed and applied, and then got contacted for an interview within a week. On the interview day, I just wore smart casual clothes and brought a copy of my CV. They expected me to talk a lot about myself and to have some understanding of the food business. The interview was one-on-one with a manager, and it felt like a normal conversation where I just answered straightforward questions. About two weeks later, I was invited for a trial shift that lasted around 3 hours. During the trial, I got to know the shop better, served some customers, and experienced working there. The colleagues and customers were really nice and friendly, so I felt comfortable showing myself and just did my best. After the trial shift, a week later, I received a job offer via phone and email. I was so happy to get the job at Lola's and to be part of the team.
- Can you introduce yourself and your background?
- Could you explain the difference between vegan and gluten-free products?
- Imagine a customer is picking up a birthday cake for her daughter that she ordered earlier, but you discover it's broken. What would be your course of action?
