Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loeb.nyc.
Intern
The interview experience was very positive. The people at Loeb are really nice and you can tell they love what they do. The office environment is great and the interviewers were challenging but fair. I also appreciated the diversity and the equitable treatment of everyone working there.
- Could you start by telling me about your background and experience?
- What is your interest in Loeb?
- Which department are you interested in?
Intern
The first round was mostly behavioral, covering very basic questions like 'walk me through your resume' and 'strengths and weaknesses'. The second round was with a partner, and they asked more about discussing a deal, along with other basic venture capital questions.
- Which company from our portfolio do you think we should pass on investing in, and what's your reasoning?
Intern
The interview process started with an HR call that was purely behavioral. The first round involved a spark hire assessment with unlimited attempts. The second round was a Zoom interview with HR. Following these initial stages, there are further rounds with the company to determine placement either with their portfolio companies or with Loeb itself. The application requires you to indicate interest in specific portfolio companies, so research on those beforehand is recommended.
- What makes you interested in Venture Capital?
- Why are you interested in Loeb?
- Can you describe your experience with teamwork?
