Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loblaw Companies.
Supply Chain Analyst
I applied online and got a call from HR within 3 days. The next day, I had a 30-minute phone interview with HR, which was pretty standard. Less than a week later, another recruiter contacted me to set up more interviews. Two days after that, I had a 20-minute 1:1 with HR, immediately followed by a 1.5-hour interview with two hiring managers. They said they'd decide within two weeks. Although it was a great experience because the hiring managers were so nice, I didn't get the job. HR called me two weeks later to let me know they picked someone else.
- Can you describe your present experience?
Supply Chain Intern
I interviewed directly with the Director of my department and my supervisor, who is a senior analyst. No HR round happened. The interview was mostly behavioural questions. They asked about team questions because I will be working with other summer students.
- How do you approach teamwork?
- Can you describe your experience working collaboratively with others?
Supply Chain Analyst
The interview process had a mix of supply chain and tech-based parts, with some behavioral questions too. It was a really bad experience overall because the interview structure and questions didn't really line up with the job description, even though the interviewer was polite and engaging.
- Could you describe past projects where you utilized [the language required for the job]?
