Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loblaw Companies.
Sales Associate
The interview process was pretty straightforward. They gave me an address and a time. A person at the front desk showed me to the waiting area. Then I went to the manager's office for a one-on-one chat and some questions. The waiting time can vary because they might have other candidates coming in.
- What's your motivation for wanting this job?
- In what ways do you believe you would be a suitable candidate?
Retail Sales Associate
I got a phone call where they asked me some questions. Only the one about my availability made sense. I never heard back after that call and didn't get another interview.
- What times are you available to work?
Sales Associate
After applying online, there was a phone call screening, followed by an in-person interview. The in-person interview was pretty short, about 10 minutes, and had around 8 questions. After that, there was a background check, and then they gave me a job offer. It was a good experience, the person interviewing me was nice and professional.
- Can you share details about your past work history?
- What information do you have regarding Loblaws?
- Describe how you would manage a situation with an upset customer.
