Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Loblaw Companies.
Manager
The interview process was straightforward and involved typical questions. I had an interview mid-morning. Upon arrival at customer service, I was greeted, shook hands with the interviewer, and then we proceeded to the interview room. The interview itself went very smoothly; it was a relaxed and easy conversation with good communication.
- Regarding your availability, can you share the details?
- Could you elaborate on your understanding of the job description?
Assistant Manager
It was a disgraceful interview process. I had five preliminary screenings with different people. I was fed a lot of misinformation about how the process would go. The HR department even tried to block me from getting my interview notes, which apparently differed from my answers. Recruiters have since told me that they were instructed not to proceed with my candidacy, but they wouldn't reveal who gave that order.
- What makes you the right candidate for this position?
Senior Manager
I went through 3 interviews. The first one was with HR. Then, I had a second interview with 2 Senior Directors, where we discussed more strategic behavioral questions. The final interview involved a case study that I had to present to 3 Senior Directors. It was a really great experience overall.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
