Business Systems Analyst
So the interview process goes like this: first, there's a phone call, then a team meeting, and then HR gets back to you. Basically, you start with this quick phone chat with the recruiter to see if you're a good fit and if you're actually interested. If they like you, you'll move on to a team meeting. This could be like a panel thing, or they might hit you with some technical questions or even a practical task to see how you work with others and solve problems. After that, HR will circle back to talk about what's next, clear up any questions, and give you some feedback or maybe even an offer. It's a pretty thorough way to check out your skills and if you'd fit in here.
- Can you discuss your strengths and weaknesses?
- How does your past experience relate to this position?
Business Analyst
The interview went well. There were 2 rounds held on the same day, one behavioral and one technical. The hiring manager was nice and clearly knew their stuff. They're looking for someone who can jump right in and has experience with retail processes.
- Can you discuss your previous projects?
Business Analyst
The process took about two weeks. It started with an email from the talent recruitment team, which was fast and easy to set up. Then, a short phone interview with the recruiter where they asked basic questions about salary expectations, past work experience, and why I applied. About three days later, I heard back from the recruiter. They wanted to move forward, but they were upfront about the salary being much lower than expected, in the 65-70K range. This was surprising for a senior role, especially knowing Loblaws makes a lot of money from overpriced groceries and could definitely pay more. They also sent a case study, which wasn't hard, but they never mentioned it beforehand or asked if I could do it this week, just emailed it with a due date. After that, there was a virtual meeting with two senior members of the department.

- What's prompting your job search?
