First, you'll participate in a lengthy webinar that lasts about an hour. They'll explain that the typical agent makes between 45-75K annually in commissions and bonuses for what they consider "full-time" work. This involves responding to the very first GroupMe text at 6 AM and cold-calling old lists or your own friends until at least 9 PM. Next, there's a Zoom interview with an enthusiastic higher-up agent. They'll hype you up about this great six-figure opportunity if you're willing to put in the effort, mentioning awesome holiday parties and random excursions they get to enjoy. "But with this darn Covid-19 shutting everything down, who really knows what is to come, right?" Finally, you'll have to answer the mandatory "Why do you want to work for Lloyd Agencies?"

Got two calls back to back, saying the company saw my resume online and wanted to interview me. The calls were from different numbers, but the return number was the same for both. The two calls I received, sounded like they were from two different companies; sounded like: lite bite and LAO bank. Tried to research the phone numbers from caller ID and the return call number; no direct link to company. Called number and receptionist did not identify company on answering, thought I may have mis-dialed at first. Upon talking with that person, I learned that the two calls I had received were from two people who work together, and they sometimes use abbreviations when identifying the company. Was told that the company was looking for customer service reps and that the hiring manager would be in over the next couple days for interviewing. When I asked more about the position, I was told that the hiring manager would fill me in, on the details and the work involved, etc. Once I learned the actual name of the company, I went online to the company website and under the career's page, they had the jobs listed, but no description, only a spot to submit cover letter and resume. Then read stuff on glassdoor.com and although the company seems to be ranked well, the interview section helped confirm my suspicions.

I applied through Zip recruiter to a firm called souri agencies, which seems non-existent on Google. Then, three different people spammed me: one called, another texted, and one emailed. The text message asked me to attend a webinar. The person who called never got back to me (I missed their call). Finally, the person emailing me was from a Gmail address unrelated to either firm, and their name didn't match the signature. It was too sketchy and lacked job details, so I passed.

It seems like there are two interview stages. They initially mention they're hiring for all sorts of roles, but by the time you get to the interview, it turns out only commission-based jobs are open. You'll only learn towards the end of the interview that you need to get some sort of license to do this commission work, and it costs $199 (in Indiana). They don't help with this cost.
