Behavioral Technical Presentation Case

I went through a long, 6-week interview process. There were 4 initial interviews that seemed to go well, then I had to do a panel presentation for a made-up Bank Case. The case study itself wasn't great, too simple for a senior role and lacked detail, so I had to put in a lot of extra work to make it presentable. I ended up working on it during half of my 3-day vacation. After the presentation, I was told I did a good job. All my interviews had positive feedback, and it felt like they wanted me. Then, ten days passed with no word on next steps after the presentation, even after I followed up with HR. Finally, I heard they chose another candidate. It took them ten days to tell me this! They also said the original job title was 'too lofty' for the role, even though I have 20 years of enterprise experience.

Behavioral Presentation

The process was pretty straightforward: an initial conversation with HR, subsequent rounds with the hiring manager, and then a live presentation to the executive sales manager. Questions during the initial rounds were garden variety and standard items. For the presentation, I was asked to do a sales presentation based on the premise that it was an initial discovery call with a customer.

Presentation Behavioral Other

This wasn't my typical sales interview. Four team members met with me to brief me on their product, which I then had to present back to them. It was good because it gave me a chance to see if I felt comfortable selling the product and services. No aptitude or personality tests were given. The interviews were face-to-face (via video) to get to know the team.
